Amazing Vegan Pizza In Abu Dhabi (and vegan cheesecake too!)

Aloha – happy Tuesday from Abu Dhabi.

If you follow/read my blog you will understand and be aware of my pizza obsession. I posted a skinny quinoa pizza recipe a while ago to try to justify eating it as much as I want to – I also ordered a vegan pizza from Pizza Hut too, which was cheeseless but still fab.

So you will understand how happy I was to be asked to taste and review some vegan options from Freedom Pizza UAE. Long story short – it is delicious.

I was delivered two small pizzas – ‘Spring Green’ on a skinny base and the ‘Mother Earth’ pizza came on a regular base. The Spring Green pizza was topped with cilantro, spring onion, parsley and pimento chili (a must try). Mother Earth was loaded with artichoke, mixed bell peppers, cilantro, garlic, mushrooms and onions – veggie pizza heaven.

The vegan cheese which was used on my pizza was soya based, however they did inform me too that they are hoping to have a coconut based vegan cheese option soon. All the toppings and ingredients are organic too, as if you needed another reason to want to try vegan pizza. The majority of the ingredients they used are sourced directly from local business which I also like.

Both pizzas tasted so good! Packed with flavor the small-sized pizzas give you 6 slices. These pizzas are a great healthy option, not just for vegans. Freedom Pizza also provide gluten-free options.

I was also given a side of salad, the Freedom Pizza ‘Superfoods Organic Salad’. I was really impressed with the size of the salad and how fresh the ingredients were. The salad is made up of baby spinach, basil, rocket, kale, purslane, spring onion, purple bell pepper, purple cabbage, cherry tomato, cranberries, toasted almonds and pumpkin sees. Not your standard side salad from a pizza take out chain!

Freedom Pizza also sell a number of delicious sweet options, which give you with a healthy alternative to a dessert (if you go for pizza you might as well get a dessert right?’. They were kind enough to let me try a Mango and Passionfruit Vegan Cheesecake by Coco Yoco which I absolutely loved. I definitely need to try to make a vegan cheese cake of my own soon!

The pizza’s arrived quickly, still hot on arrival and in one piece (quite rare out here in my experience). The prices are reasonable too, not above the average price you would pay for a take away pizza. At the moment, Freedom deliver all over Dubai and so far have one branch in Abu Dhabi delivering to a number of locations. If your location isn’t on the list, you can pick up your pizzas too from central Khalidiyah area. The business have plans to open more stores in AD too, so watch this space as more locations are added to the delivery list. You can order online or over the phone, all the details you need are here on the website.

I am very excited about Freedom Pizza and the vegan options they have available in the UAE. With fresh, organic produce, these pizzas have something for everyone with quick and friendly service. Why not try a healthier option the next time you are craving take away pizza – I promise you they are the best you will try here. Jess x
